On the morning of 17th March, the School of International Education held a special training launch ceremony for printing enterprises in Ethiopia at the West Campus. The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Chen Miaoling, Dean of the School of International Education. International student supervisors and teachers participate in the activity.
This project is jointly organized by the School of International Education and Beijing TOPPAN Company, aiming to provide training for technical and management backbone of Ethiopian printing enterprises for a period of six months. At the launch ceremony, Ms. Chen Miaoling warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of international industry education integration in the context of globalization. The school will rely on its advantageous disciplines to provide talent support for Ethiopia's thriving printing industry. Ms. Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office, provided a detailed introduction to the university history, disciplinary advantages, and achievements in international education. Dr. Fang Yi, Deputy Dean of the school introduced the project features and curriculum, encouraging students to cherish learning opportunities and enhance their professional skills.
The launch of this project marks new progress in international talent cultivation in the printing field for both parties. The members of this project were selected by Beijing TOPPAN Company, and most of the students graduated from Berhanena Selam Printing Technology College in Ethiopia, majoring in printing technology and graphic arts. They have a solid background in printing technology and rich work experience. Since entering the school at the end of February, the School of International Education has collaborated with the School of Printing and Packaging Engineering to carry out teaching, organize students to visit the campus, familiarize themselves with facilities such as libraries and classrooms, hold cultural exchange activities between Chinese and foreign students, and help them integrate into the new environment and understand traditional Chinese culture.
