To further promote education on China’s national conditions for international students and help them gain a comprehensive understanding of the high-quality development of China’s contemporary printing industry, the School of International Education organized a study tour for more than ten international student representatives to Beijing Hualian Printing Co., Ltd., a benchmark enterprise in printing technology, on the afternoon of May 20, 2026. As an important practical component of the School’s education on China’s national conditions, the activity aimed to guide international students in experiencing the current development of China’s printing industry, understanding outstanding corporate culture, and paying attention to emerging trends in the future development of the industry.
At the beginning of the visit, the teachers and students, accompanied by the company’s guide, entered the production workshop to explore the full process of book printing. From paper selection, plate making and color adjustment to precision printing, cutting, and binding, the international students gained a comprehensive understanding of how a book is produced from raw materials to finished products. During the tour, the company’s guide introduced the enterprise’s achievements in automation, intelligent manufacturing, and high-quality production, as well as the major trends of the industry toward digital-intelligent, green, and global development. The international students listened attentively and actively asked questions.

This field-based study activity enabled international students to step out of the campus and enter an enterprise. It not only allowed them to experience China’s leading printing technology and strong industrial capacity up close, thereby broadening their international perspectives, but also deepened their understanding of China’s real economy and the innovative upgrading of traditional industries.

In the future, the School will continue to draw on various forms of social practice and enterprise-based study activities to enrich education on China’s national conditions for international students. It will guide more international students in China to understand a real, multidimensional, and comprehensive China, and encourage them to serve as friendly bridges for cultural communication and industrial exchange between China and the rest of the world.
