To enrich the campus life of international students, build a platform for cultural exchange between Chinese and international students, and allow international students to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture up close, the School of International Education held a Cultural Experience and Fun Sports Event for international students on the afternoon of April 6. International students actively participated in the event, enjoying cultural activities and building friendships in a lively and cheerful atmosphere.

The event featured two main sections: a Cultural Experience Zone and a Fun Sports Zone, combining traditional folk customs with recreational sports activities to provide international students with an immersive and diverse experience.

In the Cultural Experience Zone, kite painting and Qingtuan tasting were especially popular. During the kite painting activity, international students sat together and used paintbrushes to creatively express their understanding of Chinese culture and their love for campus life on traditional Chinese kites. Students exchanged ideas and learned from each other while experiencing the joy of traditional handicrafts through hands-on practice. Many students said it was their first time making a Chinese kite, and that they not only learned a new skill but also gained a deeper appreciation for the unique charm of Chinese folk culture.

The Qingtuan tasting area also attracted many participants. Staff members introduced the history, preparation process, and cultural significance of Qingtuan, explaining its symbolic meaning of spring blessings, reunion, and well-being. After tasting the traditional snack, many students praised its flavor and felt that the experience brought them closer to traditional Chinese culture through the tastes of spring.

The Fun Sports Zone was filled with excitement and energy. Activities included basketball shooting, 30-second jump rope challenges, and shuttlecock kicking competitions. Small prizes were prepared for each activity, greatly encouraging student participation. On the sports field, international students showed enthusiasm and team spirit, cheering each other on and enjoying friendly competition in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. The activities not only helped students relax and exercise, but also strengthened friendships and mutual understanding through interaction.

By integrating traditional cultural experiences with fun sports activities, the event provided international students with a valuable opportunity to experience Chinese folk culture and better integrate into campus life. At the same time, it further promoted communication and mutual learning among young people from different countries, building a bridge of friendship for cultural dialogue and mutual understanding.
