Carry out national education and hold a lecture on "Minimalist History of Beijing"

Carrying out education on the Chinese national conditions for international students studying in China is one of the important ways to accelerate the construction of Chinese discourse and narrative system, shape the national image, and is an important part of talent cultivation for international students studying in China. On the afternoon of 17th April, Mr. Liu Zongyong, the director of the Beijing Local Chronicles Museum, was invited to give a lecture to international students on "Minimalist History of Beijing - The Treasures of Beijing's Natural Resources and the Talented People of the Land". Vice President Chen Dan attended the event, and nearly a hundred international students from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Communication University of China, Central Academy of Drama, Capital Normal University, Beijing International Studies University, Beijing Agricultural College, and Beijing Institute of Printing attended the lecture. The lecture was chaired by Dr. Fang Yi, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education.

In her speech, Prof. Chen Dan stated that as the 15th International Chinese Language Day of the United Nations approaches, we will closely follow the theme of "Chinese: Building a Bridge of Civilization and Mutual Learning" to carry out a series of activities, allowing international students in Beijing to have a deeper understanding of Beijing's customs and traditions, learn and grow more comprehensively in Beijing, and quickly integrate into the embrace of this millennium old capital. Looking ahead to the future, BIGC will continue to rely on the "Future International Publishers - National Education Project", with "Culture and Civilization Communication" as the core concept, constantly enrich and enrich the connotation of international education, and strive to cultivate more international publishing and media professionals with a global perspective, understanding and love for Chinese culture.

Mr. Liu Zongyong presents the evolution of Beijing from a traditional imperial capital to a modern city from three dimensions: natural geography, historical changes, and urban overview, through multidimensional perspectives such as politics, culture, and society; Through detailed historical materials and in-depth theoretical analysis, the development of Beijing's history has been systematically sorted out, showcasing the unique charm of Beijing as the "four centers" shining together and producing a large number of talents. Mr. Liu Zongyong, with his profound academic achievements and captivating storytelling style, led international students to travel through time and space, experiencing the glorious history and culture of Beijing.
