International Student Enrollment Education and "Study in BIGC" Lecture Series Held at the School

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the national initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" and the founding of the School of International Education. On 18th October, on the occasion of the opening of the third "the Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, the school held a series of lectures on "International Student Entrance Education and" Studying in BIGC" in the conference hall of the Main Building. Mr. Liu Zunzhong, member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Vice President, Prof. Chen Dan, Vice president, responsible persons of Tangshan Jiaxun Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., Yutian Printing and Packaging Machinery Association and related enterprises, responsible persons of the Student Work Department, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Foreign Affairs Office, and Stability Office as well as all teachers and 164 international students of the School of International Education participated in the educational activity, which was presided over by Ms. Chen Miaoling, Dean of the School of International Education.

The enrollment education activity kicked off in the video "Studying in BIGC - World · Print Exchange and Integration". In her speech, Prof. Chen Dan expressed a warm welcome to all international students, introduced the school's history, disciplinary characteristics and talent training results, and sent a message to international students that on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, in the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, they have improved understanding, learned from each other, and helped build a world of lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, and openness and inclusiveness. She expressed the hope that international students can learn and think critically, and establish a global perspective; To gain insights and contribute to cultural exchange and dissemination; I have achieved success in my studies and become a spokesperson for 'Study in BIGC'.

Hamza, an international freshman representative and Pakistani student, expressed in his speech that he cherishes the opportunity to study in China very much, will work hard to learn professional knowledge, actively participate in various activities, deeply understand Chinese culture, and promote multicultural exchange and sharing. Ms. Liu Diandian, a representative of the International Education Institute, encourages students to strive to learn Chinese culture, strengthen cross-cultural exchanges, and become ambassadors for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.

During the enrollment education presentation, relevant personnel provided detailed introductions and interpretations to international students on the necessary procedures and policy regulations related to visa, insurance, medical treatment, teaching, management, accommodation, etc., guiding them to develop good living habits and learning atmosphere, and smoothly start their study abroad life.

In order to closely connect with the industry, integrate into the industry, and improve the quality of talent cultivation, the first "Study in BIGC" series of lectures will be held this academic year after enrollment education.

Mr. NAVID MAJLESSI, Sales Director of Tangshan Jiaxun Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., was invited as a special guest to introduce the development status of China's printing industry and printing equipment, as well as the development history of Yutian's printing industry and printing equipment, under the theme of "China's Printing Equipment Industry and Tangshan Yutian". He encouraged students to join the industry and serve its development. Mr. NAVID has worked for companies such as Heidelberg and Shengwei International Machinery in Germany, and has been engaged in the sales and technical services of printing machinery equipment for a long time. The students at the lecture actively interacted with him.
