On the afternoon of September 1st, Liu Yongrong, the chairperson of the China Research Center Foundation of Debsirin Schools in Thailand, Ji Shufang, the principal of Debsirin Schools in Beibiao, Yuan Napa, the vice principal, and LAN Yuying, the assistant principal, visited our school. Chen Miaoling, the dean of the School of International Education, Wang Ying, the deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and teachers from the School of International Education attended the symposium.
The symposium was presided over by Chen Miaoling, the dean of the School of International Education. During the symposium, Chen Miaoling, the dean of the School of International Education, comprehensively introduced the construction of the "Study at BIGC" brand and the rich achievements of our university in international talent cultivation. Wang Ying, the deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office, introduced the recruitment situation of international students and the trainees of the Ethiopian Indian enterprises Training class. Xia Qing, a teacher from the School of International Education, reported on the latest progress of the construction of the international Chinese language education curriculum system in our school.
Liu Yongrong introduced the China Research Center of Debsirin Schools and the overall situation of Debsirin Schools. Both sides have reached a preliminary cooperation intention on the construction of overseas student source bases for international students and the cultivation of international students. After the meeting, the delegation from Debsirin Schools visited the school's history museum, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the school's historical evolution, disciplinary characteristics, talent cultivation, and social services.
Under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, our school adheres to the educational philosophy of open education and actively expands the construction of overseas student source bases. The visit of Debsirin Schools in Thailand this time has further clarified the common vision of both sides in the field of international talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation and seeking common development in the future.
Introduction to Debsirin Schools in Thailand: Founded in 1885, it is located in the Thangka District of Bangkok, Thailand. It was established by King Rama V, also known as Chulalongkorn the Great, in memory of his mother, Queen Debsirin. The majority of its students in previous years have been of Chinese ethnicity. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education of Thailand, Debsirin Schools has gradually expanded its affiliated schools in other provinces since 1979. To date, there are now 11 affiliated schools, with nearly 20,000 students enrolled.
Introduction to the China Research Center of Debsirin Schools in Thailand: Established on June 9, 2020, the anniversary of King Rama VIII, its main mission is to assist the Chinese Language Education Center of the Ministry of Education of Thailand and Chinese language education institutions of various universities in jointly developing, promoting Chinese language education in Thailand, facilitating cultural exchanges with overseas Chinese and those across the Taiwan Strait(China), and expanding channels for cultivating professional talents for the country.
