Delegation from Beijing Exit-Entry Administration Bureau Visits University for Inspection and Guidance

At the symposium, Wang Xin, Dean of the School of International Education, reported on the school’s work in international student enrollment and admission, education and training, daily management, and service support. Xia Mingyang, squadron leader of the Foreign-Related Case Handling Detachment of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, and police officer Tang Yi provided professional guidance based on their practical work experience, focusing on matters such as visa applications, residence permit management, and daily codes of conduct for international students. Participants also held in-depth exchanges on key and difficult issues encountered in their work.

In his remarks, Liu Ning pointed out that universities serve as an important front in foreign-related security work, and that strengthening international student management is of great significance. He emphasized the need to further improve the full-chain management system. First, policy publicity and legal education should be strengthened, with relevant laws and regulations popularized through multiple channels to enhance international students’ law-abiding awareness and self-management abilities. Second, daily management and risk screening should be reinforced, with targeted measures taken to strengthen the safety defense line by focusing on key links and key periods. Third, a balanced approach combining strict regulation with care and support should be adopted. While enforcing standardized management, universities should also pay attention to the physical and mental well-being of international students and help them better adapt to campus life. He stressed that police-school coordination should be deepened, a regular communication and cooperation mechanism should be improved, and information sharing and efficient collaboration between the school and the public security exit-entry administration authorities should be promoted. Joint efforts should be made to identify and resolve foreign-related risks and hidden dangers, and to safeguard campus safety, stability, and the order of foreign-related management.

On behalf of the school, Chen Dan expressed gratitude to the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau for its long-standing care, guidance, and support for the school’s international student management work. She stated that the school attaches great importance to the management and service of international students, and will carefully review the guidance and suggestions provided during the visit, fully implement the spirit of the meeting, further improve its management and service mechanisms, strengthen the professional capacity building of its teams, and continuously optimize management and service procedures. At the same time, the school will deepen police-school coordination, proactively strengthen communication and liaison with the public security exit-entry administration authorities, actively draw on professional guidance and experience, and continuously improve the standardization and refinement of international student management and services. These efforts will help create a safe, orderly, and high-quality study and living environment for international students, and contribute to the high-quality development of the school and of international education in the capital.
